Traffic Safety Systems History

TSS was established in 1973 and has now acquired over 30 years experience as a supplier and manufacturer of traffic law enforcement & video surveillance technology to customers worldwide.

The company was originally established to supply VASCAR (Visual Average Speed Computer and Recorder) equipment to the UK police. The first microprocessor version was designed by us in the late 1970’s. VASCAR became a worldwide product with over 2000 in the UK and 6000 in USA amongst the many countries using it for traffic law enforcement.

The company also introduced and gained police acceptance for the TRACKER system in the UK; now a separate company supplying Stolen Vehicle Recovery Systems worldwide.

TSS has developed a comprehensive range of security, surveillance and road policing products for mobile applications. All our equipment is designed “fit for purpose” with a robust construction for reliable operation in demanding conditions.

Our manufacturing stands embrace the latest production techniques. We exceed the requirements of ISO 9001-2000 approved, "e" marking, CE marking, Home Office Type Approval and many international approvals for all products.

TSS became part of the AD Group in December 2003.
