Fixed Roadside Cameras - Speed Enforcement - Traffiphot S

Traffiphot S is an automatic unattended speed camera system providing detection and measurement of vehicle speeds. The camera is pole mounted and can monitor 1 or 2 lanes of traffic with lane specific vehicle detection in either approaching or rear facing directions. A Xenon flash unit incorporated in the cabinet provides 24 hour operation in all lighting conditions.

The unique inner housing which is a one-piece assembly for quick and simple installation contains the camera, flash unit and controller. This main camera unit slots into the outer housing and no additional connectors are necessary. The inner housing can be set up before placing on site for ease of operation.

The images and offence data are recorded on 35mm film. The offence details are also stored on a memory card. The memory card images are simply downloaded using a reader with a file format easily read by all commonly used CTO software. Images are handled through ERIC and EROS so that offences can be processed in a straightforward manner.

The system takes two photographs a fixed time apart (0.5 sec) to provide an independent secondary check. The secondary checkmarks, in conjunction with the yellow outer housing provide a strong deterrent to speeding motorists.
