Traffiphot IIIG is manufactured by Robot – the most reliable and professionally made equipment available. Robot equipment is used in 90% of all traffic law enforcement cameras worldwide. As with the speed camera technology the red light system is fully automatic and unattended. The red light camera uses loops to detect and measure vehicles crossing the junction illegally. The camera is pole mounted and monitors 1 or 2 lanes of traffic with lane specific detection. A Xenon flash unit mounted in the cabinet gives 24 hour operation in all lighting conditions.

The inner housing of the red light camera is a one-piece unit containing the camera, flash and controller which slots into the outer housing.

The images and offence data are recorded on 35mm film. The offence details are also stored on a memory card. The memory card images are simply downloaded using a reader with a file format easily read by all commonly used CTO software. Images are handled through ERIC and EROS so that offences can be processed in a straightforward manner.

The camera film magazines are interchangeable with the fixed site speed camera unit.
