TSS MOBILE SURVEILLANCE TECHNOLOGY ON VIEW AT APTS 2007
TSS (Traffic Safety Systems) – part of AD Group – will be using APTS 2007 to showcase its market leading position in the supply and fitment of customised CCTV systems for police and emergency service vehicles. For the first time at APTS the company also plans to have its latest NetVu Connected digital solutions on display, enhancing a product portfolio which already includes vehicle mounted CCTV systems. Said Alan Mole, Managing Director at TSS: “The strength of our reputation is underlined by the fact that we can count all of the police authorities in the UK as customers and have a growing presence worldwide. On a daily basis, hundreds of TSS CCTV systems are called into action to support roads policing, mobile traffic enforcement, community safety, driver training, speed detection and enforcement for both stationary and moving speed violations. “Looking ahead, a major development for the police and emergency services is the move from analogue to digital CCTV solutions, doing away with tape management issues and delivering much more capable and flexible systems. We are at the forefront of this transition with our latest ruggedised digital systems, designed to withstand the vibration and shock encountered in this environment, and benefit from NetVu Connected compatibility – a common technology across AD Group - which allows easy access and distribution of images from a wide range of sources, all of which can be readily displayed using NetVu ObserVer video management software.” Continues Alan Mole: “In terms of applications, an area where we have seen a growing demand from police and local authorities is for purpose-built mobile CCTV systems to conduct security operations and tackle street crime or anti social behaviour. Systems fitted to high conspicuity vehicles provide an overt visible deterrent to potential offenders and can equally be used covertly for discreet surveillance investigations. Where incidents do occur, evidence can be readily gathered by advanced CCTV cameras with high power zoom and low light capabilities, sometimes mounted on specialist masts. By providing a permanent and digitally fingerprinted record of incidents, successful prosecution of offenders is greatly increased – something which is certainly welcomed in the policing community.” |
